Sunday Dec 10, 2023
Sunday Dec 10, 2023
Sometimes our past comes back to haunt us. Whether it’s mistakes we’ve made, pain we’ve endured, or a loss we’ve suffered, our past can stick with us in the present and shape our outlook for the future. And in the nostalgia of the holiday season, baggage from our past can feel especially heavy. So in today’s sermon we’ll talk about a powerful source of hope when we’re feeling the weight of our past. Join us as we continue our Advent series, “The Redemption of Scrooge.”

Sunday Oct 29, 2023
Sunday Oct 29, 2023
Sometimes life smacks us with an unexpected challenge that leaves us reeling. In those moments, it’s natural to panic and we often do. But Jesus shows us that if we resist the urge to freak out, we’ll often discover that our unexpected challenges are full of divine opportunity. In today’s sermon, we’ll explore how that dynamic is playing out in real time at Kindred Church and what all of this means for each of us.

“It’s Not Really Mine” // Daniel Childs
Sunday Oct 22, 2023
Sunday Oct 22, 2023
In our culture, we have a strong sense of personal possession, especially when it comes to our money. We like to think that our money belongs to us because we applied ourselves, worked hard, and earned it. And that may be true. But according to Scripture, that’s not the whole truth. In today’s sermon, we’ll see that Jesus challenges us with a counter-cultural perspective about Who our money really belongs to. And we’ll explore the life-giving difference that perspective makes for our earning, our spending, and our hearts. Join us as we continue our series, “Jesus on Money.”

“In God We Trust?” // Caleb Punt
Sunday Oct 15, 2023
Sunday Oct 15, 2023
As Christians, we strive to put our ultimate trust in God, who is our creator, provider, and redeemer. And yet, when push comes to shove, we often wind up putting our trust in money to provide us with the peace, affirmation, and fulfillment our hearts crave. That’s why Jesus warns us that money has a sneaky way of taking God’s place in our hearts. In today’s sermon, we’ll explore why putting too much trust in money is harmful to us and how we can guard ourselves against the false promises of more money. Join us as we continue our series, “Jesus on Money.”
